Rest Companions in Taverns?

Regarding the "hint" that Companions heal up faster in Taverns, how are you supposed to get them in there?
Anyone have an answer? Thanks.

When you rest at a town or castle, your companions will gain their lost health faster then when you camp in the field for example.
