[Resistance] Strength through Unity: The First Day

To be honest, I still suspect both of you. But I do believe that nomad speaks truth about what he saw.

Yeah, after sleeping on it I am faced with two options.

Xardob was a spy and revealed himself to another spy. She then said he was innocent letting him know she was her teammate and making him gain trust with all of us.

Xardob is an innocent and revealed himself to a spy. She then said he was innocent to gain his personal trust with her for telling the truth about him and hoping he would help push for her team in which she was on and could sabotage.

The first is starting to become my worry as he was upset and bothered by revealing his role while as a good guy that really should not matter at least to me it wouldn't.

3rd option is xardob is spy llandly is not but played along to pretend to be a spy to him. And possibly others. So if she gets put on a team he would think she would sabotage it but she wouldnt and thus th joke would be on him.
But I don't think people have thought that far ahead yet =p

I agree, but that still leaves her with the problem of a proposed team with two spies, and the claim she made about the role makes sense (unless the spies were already given the innocent roles).

Well her role was revealed to me so that's NOT an option as she is a spy.

But more important I debated that same thing and considered pretending I was a spy and not saying she was a spy but in the end I determined that's about the dumbest thing an innocent could do is lie to the village I mean you don't even do that in werewolf.

Wait why is the focus on me? You are the one that told her your role. You are a lot more worried about me outing her out than you giving your role up to a spy. What's  that say about you?
That I'm a spy? That I don't care about my role? That I have no idea what I'm talking about anymore?

The first is starting to become my worry as he was upset and bothered by revealing his role while as a good guy that really should not matter at least to me it wouldn't.
I'd rather be forced to reveal my role as a spy than as an innocent. Oh, the mind games I could play with everyone if you all knew I'm a spy.

I determined that's about the dumbest thing an innocent could do is lie to the village I mean you don't even do that in werewolf.
Wait, you don't? ****, I may be playing WW wrong.

Yeah, then you are.

Well, given the conversation on the thread, the current team almost certainly has a spy on it, which means the team will need to be adjusted before I pull the trigger.  It's just a matter of who to cut.

Ej, Phone, Xar, you have 24 hours remaining to plead your case to stay before I call a vote.

Simple, if I was a spy I would have:

A: Let the host default past Llandy, adding a counter to the missions auto-fail, rather than take the reigns of the operation.
B: Waited for a fresh mission, so I could have control over the cards.

1. You still have not answered the question of "Why didn't you wait until Llandy / whoever Ej was going to check to assume command."

2. Llandy might have came back to propose the team or Aust may have chosen to deal with the situation differently (e.g. replace her), so it isn't clear and auto-fail would have happened.

3. It might be beneficial for a wolf to not have to pass out cards, especially with the ones left.

1. I waited ~2 days since Llandy resigned to take command.  In that time, 2 posts were made.  Ej had plenty of time to post his findings, and yet rather than ask him why the delay, you insist on asking me why so quick.

2. As was stated in conversation on the Resistance main thread, Llandy was gone and Aust was SoL on a replacement (still is).

3. When has it ever, in any game of WW or Resistance, been bad for the wolves/spies for one of their own to be in control of anything in a game?  Control of the game is the main goal of the wolves/spies, as it gives them the best position to kill/screw us all.

We don't know whether Ej had been online, sent his inquiry, received and answer, etc. - why do you think he was intentionally delaying? What would it matter anyways? There is no reason to believe he was going to hold back on the reply because it would be highly suspicious if he didn't tell us - chances are we were going to hear back either way.

It would be good for the spies if they knew who each other were, but in this case they cannot be sure what cards they would be get and who the cards would be played on and so-forth. Yes, you control who they are given to, but that is not "controlling the game" when you do not know your packies. Someone could investigate you and find you as a spy with Ernest Champion or Interrogatory Inquisition, and take the command away from you with Assume Command or Zero Confidence - if you are a spy, you might not want to have those cards in play.

Is an option if you are a baddie as well.

Regardless of role I think grimmend did good to assume command.
Though I am less happy with his suggested team.
