[Resistance] Avalon: Minions of Mordred Win!

Don't worry, the feeling is mutual. :p

I'll be more active some time tomorrow, after I finish this music project that I thought was due Thursday.  :meh:

Xardob 说:
I'm leaning towards me, Aust and Soot. I think it's a good idea to have different players in the team, so that we have information on everyone, come the end of the game.
It is good to get varied intel, but that mission team will certainly have at least 1 spy

No 1 of them being good is enough. It is highly unlikely that they are both evil, but perhaps its a master strat of them.

My thoughts:

Between Xardob and Aust, my guess is one of them is a spy who was just rejecting the mission to distance themselves from the voting of their packies (regardless of the team make-up, since chances are the first mission was going to pass anyways, spies or no spies). I am leaning towards that being Xardob right now because Aust seems more genuine in his concerns about the voting while Xardob decided to wait until after the mission has been approved to say "lol I have a gut feeling about Face." Not sure how I feel about Soot or Twinkie yet, but MaHuD is (shockingly) making the most sense to me right now, and I agree with him that it might be best to put Grimm and I on the mission together rather than separating each other for the purpose of keeping things grouped together to hopefully make things easier in the long run. And if we succeed the mission, it looks like we'd have smooth sailing the rest of the way.

I propose myself and Grimm to go with Aust. I'd likely reject a team with Xardob on it.

For you, sure. But that's assuming you're innocent as well.

The only other person the same condition would apply is Twinkle. Grimm and Melter can't make the same assumption.

Phonemelter 说:
Babe, I'll show you my feminine side any day.

Who do you think the nominees should be now that you know Aust is the leader?
:fruity:

And I would like to see you and Grimmend with Aust. I wanna give you guys another look.

~Twinkle, who has no specific reason besides that he'd like to watch it play out one more time

"Hail, brave knights!" A small green frog hops into the room, and a reverential hush descends. Once the right-hand man of King Arthur, Lord Froggart was cursed by the evil sorceress Morgana to live out the rest of his life as an amphibian; now he is the King's right-hand frog.

"King Arthur has been following your discussions very closely, and was most pleased to see the matter of the quest being given great weight. But despite the gravitas of the situation, he has asked me to deliver a warning. You see, Lord de Calverly, stricken with grief at the thought of the vile acts being visited upon his wife by the foul, loathsome Mordred, is threatening to mount a rescue mission himself.

"As you know, the Lord is no fighting man. There is the small matter of his missing left ear, and then that gammy leg after the fall from his horse three years ago... and such a misguided rescue attempt would undoubtedly result in the Lord's death. Therefore, the King implores you to have your discussion reach a reasonable conclusion so that the quest may be carried out with due haste. Should you not be able to reach a consensus before the Lord makes his rescue attempt, there may be..." The frog takes a deep breath, allowing the ominous silence to build. "...repercussions."

With his warning delivered, Lord Froggart departs, and the gathered men are left puzzled; nobody has ever made mention of repercussions before now.

Well, to allay any worries, I've been following along and just not chiming in because I liked where the discussion was going without my input. I'll make a full post later on, my final nomination (not green-texted), I'll get your feedback for a day probably then green-text it which shouldn't be too untimely... I'd think.

Lord Froggart sticks his head briefly back into the room. "Lord de Calverly will be most pleased by your  >ribbit<  expediency. We will await your messenger."

Few hours later than I intended, someone literally set themselves on fire at work.

MaHuD 说:
Its because if a spy would pop up in a team like xardob aust and either grimmend or melter, you would know that there is atleast one spy in that group but it wouldnt clear the other either as its still possible that there is a spy as well.
Well, as Xardob states later, I'm actually partial to gathering more information here, then future leaders will maybe re-integrate Grimmend and Melter, but this is a fair point.

Of course if one is a spy the other likely isn't. If they go together its easier to splitt the spies into groups plus there is a chance that if they are both good you kind of HAVE to bring them onboard.
Here is where I disagree, I see no reason it's more or less likely that they are both spies, and consider it a possibility to be explored in later teams.

To Twinkle in general, you seem really eager in a way that puts me off. I'm not personally champing at the bit to add you to the team, especially when I have several candidates already. I'll let future leaders decide on that one. I see no post of yours that requires a direct response, but let me know if there was something.

SootShade 说:
Yeah, I kinda agree with that, especially as that includes me in the team. Besides, despite the first mission passing I don't actually feel too good about Grimm and Face yet, though it's mostly gut, and I'd rather see them at least talk a little more before putting them on another team. On the other hand I feel like I have something to judge Xardob and Aust on right now, and would kinda want to put them to further test.
As it happens, I agree. Not just with the team, but also with your addendum, Soot. Exactly how I feel.

MaHuD 说:

I disagree, as Xardob said...
Xardob 说:
Only if you believe both Grimm and Melter are innocents.
I'm not taking that for granted just yet.
MaHuD 说:

You've said it twice but... I mean what are you basing this on? I think it's very possible.

This is a fair concern, but I'm still attached to that team make-up. Perhaps if this mission fails, then keep Sootshade as an option and count myself and Xardob out?

So in final, while I see the appeal of Grimmend and Phonemelter going again, I think that we should do that once we have more information on other players first. Let's fit them in for the 3rd or 4th missions. Would you approve or reject Myself, Sootshade and Xardob?

Forgive a lack of proof-reading, it's late.

No, I'm going to reject it because the only way there are going to be no spies on the team is if Twinkie, MaHuD, and Grimmend are the spies. Twinkie and MaHuD's support of having Grimm on the team again could point to that, and the lack of input from Grimm and Twinkie may be due to playing as quiet spies, but I see that as highly unlikely.

I don't know, it sounds reasonable to me, also add in the chance you're a spy and I like this opportunity to experiment and gain a lot more info than we would from just repeating the first guess and hoping for the best. As I said, I think it would best to return to Grimmend and yourself if we fail, leaving myself and Xardob out, or work you in if we do not.

Yeah, am very eager to get in on the story. Personally, I'm okay with seeing you, Grimmend and Phone, and it's not really a big deal to me whether or not I get on the team, as I'll have my chance soon enough.

Nothing that requires a direct response as far as I can see.

~Twinkle, who, as a knight, doesn't see any reason not to be eager to be on the quest

It's very difficult to believe both Grimm and Melter are spies, unless they are playing a very elaborate buff. What would be the point of Grimm choosing another spy to the team if he is one?

No, I'm going to reject it because the only way there are going to be no spies on the team is if Twinkie, MaHuD, and Grimmend are the spies.
Do you have any reason believe they aren't? This argument could be used to reject any team you're not part of.
