[Resistance] #1 ~ Day 3 Voting Time²!

I had absolutely nothing to go by to determine who should go on the mission.  I said at the time, I believe everyone wants to go on the mission, but now I'm somewhat more determined.

Why must the team contain you? Do you think there is a spy on the original mission team? Or simple selfishness?

@ Dodes

Why is me wanting to be on the team suspicious? I was the first to say I'd like to be on the first mission, and the first to say I'd like to be on the second. If I'm on the second and it is sabotaged, I still have a something-in-three chance of knowing which of my teammates might be spies.

I do find it suspicious that you keep randomly accusing people of being spies... Hulk, Vieira, maybe Konig, possibly Xardob, now me, who next??... Whilst so vehemently defending your own position.

As suspicious as Brutus saying he's not gonna approve any mission that he's not on. That could severely cripple our chances.

I'd support this team, though I'd prefer if you swapped Vieira with me.

Vieira 说:
I'm almost so sure that this will be sabotaged that I'm not sure I even want to be on the team for this mission.
Why? If the mission is sabotaged and you are on the team, you have a better chance of discovering the spies than if you're not. Are you that concerned with your image that you'd rather give the spies a better chance at sabotaging the mission?

I think he wants to be on the team because he wants to be sure someone is going to sabotage the mission.

I'm just unsure as to how I'd go about arguing my case. All I'd be able to argue is that as I'm not a spy, then one of the other 3 has to be a spy. But, that is a bull**** reason as everybody, regardless of if they are a spy, can say the same thing. Which puts me on even footing.  What reason is there for me to discover spies if I cannot put forth an argument to convince others who are spies?

It's less about being concerned about my image and more about my ability to prove others as spies.

As I said, because if you were a spy it would give you an excellent opportunity as detailed in my reason immediately after where I note my arising suspicion of you.

Also 'randomly accusing' is a fallacy, as I have given a reason each time I voiced suspicion. The whole game is based around suspicion and providing evidence for such through analyzation. As for my own position, I defend it because it's the only position I know for sure is an operative. I'm not sure when someone wouldn't defend themselves and I believe everyone should voice and justify their suspicion as it develops. I understand I'm taking the brunt of the backlash here for being vocal, but the only solution to that is being less so, which in the end benefits the spies from stemmed discussion.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong here, I actually expected some sort of agreement from others, but I guess I am alone on this platform. But like I said, if I am all wrong then mission 2 won't be sabotaged. I do believe it is going to be sabotaged though, and I hope that will give me the credence needed for getting missions 3 and 4 to be won. The spies can't afford to lose mission 2 and I think because of how vocal I have been that the spies strategy for mission 1 will fail and lose them the game.

Keep it up everyone, good effort on the activity part!
I would however like to see more activity from a few people and especially grimmend.

I suspect your susceptibility to accusing anybody who disagrees with or questions you is what is putting people off. You didn't start publically pointing the finger at me until I questioned one of your earlier statements; a question which, in my mind, was credible and I genuinely wanted a response for. Your answer actually made sense and made me more trusting of you... but then you went and accused me of being a spy which now makes me trust you less.

I'm all for being vocal but I think there is such a thing as being too vocal. Your suspicion of everyone makes people more suspicion of you, because you're too keen to pick up on slight nuances or to make mountains out of molehills. There's only 3 reasons I can think of for this:

1) You're so insecure that you see direct questioning as a personal insult.

2) You're a spy, trying very hard to point the finger of blame at everyone else to make yourself seem less suspicious.

3) You're over-analysing certain things and reading too far into other things. Analysing is good, but I prefer to observe and keep my opinions to myself until I'm a little more certain; that way, when I cry wolf, it will (hopefully) be taken a little more seriously.

I'd also like to further clarify my points about keeping the same team. I cannot be one hundred percent certain that the original team is all innocents, although Dodes' reaction to the first mission is certainly suggesting that. I've already explained that keeping the same team is a calculated risk that we must take because if we do not, there's almost a certainty of a spy on the next team.
If we did get lucky enough and myself, Konig, Vieira, are innocent, and Llandy, our new addition is as well (statistically a fair shot), then we're home free. If mission two succeeds then we simply renominate the same four players for mission three, and the game is won.

If there is a concealed spy on the first mission (a fair chance), then we'll have to start all over. I understand that if that's the case I won't seem very credible at that point, and likely won't be selected to any more missions. That's not something that I'm in favor of, but it's something that will happen, given my actions in the thread.
I understand the risk, but I think we have a legitimate shot at winning the game here. Because of that, it's worth it.

With that said, I am now going to put it to a vote!

Vote for team: König, Hulk, Viera, and Llandy.

Received 9 out of 10 votes!

Still waiting on the last vote, but I will be out for most of tomorrow. So it will take quite a while longer it seems.

Tonight Hulksmash, Vieira, Llandy and König will forcefully enter one of the larger broadcasting centers, prepare demo charges and set up broadcast a with previously prepared message to the entire empire after which the tower will be detonated from afar.

Hulk, Vieira, Llandy and König, please PM me if you Support or Sabotage the mission.
Please note that only 1 sabotage is needed to sabotage/fail the mission.
Also; Resistance Operatives MUST always choose to support, and Spies may choose to either Support or Sabotage on their own discretion.

Posting is allowed again

No I purposely put the result in a different spoiler every time, to avoid people just clicking on the last one. It builds suspension!

So, three rejections. And now I'm convinced Eternal is a spy. Why else would he stay quiet the whole day and them reject the team? I'm also a lot more suspicious of Grimmend because of this.
