Resolved Rescue your family quest 1.5

Recently started a new game and encountered this new quest. Upon completion after the loot screen, the game goes Into an endless loading screen.

Tried to complete this several times but the same thing happens over and over.

Anyone else had this issue?

Hello, can you please remove the mods and try to reproduce the issue on a new campaign. If you can reproduce the issue on a new, unmodded and verified campaign please let me know.

If you have enable death on and the boss npc (gatil?) dies in the fight it might be the cause. He needs to be there fro the next scene of quest.

I’ve had it in 1.4.3 and I don't think NPC can die in that version

I actually do!! I have quite a few of the "true" mods installed... do you think that could be the issue?

He hasn't died In any of the instances i tried. I even got to the part where he is executed. Still left me on infinite loading screen.

I do now, I notice that resent updates to that mod have the default setting for companions talking to you after battle set to 1 or 100%. It could be that the game is trying to load up 2 different dialogue encounters post execution, one with your brother, the other with a companion.
Do you have a save from just before the battle? Could you try it with the mod turned off?

I have had the exact same issue in my current e1.5.1 playthrough for this quest. I also have True Relations installed.

the author of the mod True Relation has now issued a fix for the mod that should stop this happening.

I Can Confirm that the true relation mod was the issue. I deactivated the mod and installed the light version of the mod that the author had uploaded. Thanks to everyone that helped, I've now completed the mission... To kill radagos or not... hmmm
