Wikipedia has .svg files of nearly all coats of arms. Nice 'n' easy to grab 'n' use.

I was thinking something like this (colour/pattern scheme):

But instead of the soldier in the middle, this bear (roughly the same size as the soldier above, so it fits on sheilds):

Would be pure awesomeness.
