Reputation with a Caravan is shot :(

I attacked a Swadian Caravan, because I wanted to obtain 3 Dark Knights, at the sacrifice my reputation went with Swadian army from 0 to -10 as well as with the caravan.

I beaten the Caravan and obtained 3 black knights, I paid enough ransom to get back the reputation with Swadian back to 0, but still -10 with the caravan, anyone know hwo to regain a good rep with the Caravan?

Don't know. But you really don't need good relations with the caravans. You just can't protect them anymore and you can't join fights with them and another enemy of yours.

I am a swadian mercenary. If I attack a waegir caravan, will this ruin the releationships with the swadian caravans too?

Don't know. But you really don't need good relations with the caravans. You just can't protect them anymore and you can't join fights with them and another enemy of yours.

This also means I wont have any more chances to acquire Dark Knights as they are the only caravans that encounter them :\. Or unless they fight bandits too which I never seen before :\ (let alone win!, unless Swadian Crossbow Knights)...

Dark Knights also like those refugees, but you can't attack them, and they often loose.

You could always knock an army of them out (solo if you love your men) have someone else that is really weak own you then kill them and get the Dark Knights as allys.

Or do like me and use the unofficial editor to change the townsmen you recruit to upgrade into Dark Knights.

Have you tried joining the Swadian faction? I think that will restore your reputation with the caravans. Other than that, I don't know of any way to fix it.

Is there a way to put the Dark Knights to be hired at an Inn or something?

You could always knock an army of them out (solo if you love your men)

Is there some mechanism to drop men off temporarily? I know you can have Marnid and Borcha wait for you at Four Ways Inn, but what about other troops?

Nope, you order them to hold position (press 1 at the start of the battle) and charge straight for the enemy. If you wait too long, the cavalry (or every unit in the case of Dark Knights) may bring the fight to your side of the map and engage your troops.

EDIT: But even more annyoing (and safe), you can seperate from Marnid or Borcha on the world map and then talk to them again to give them all your troops, and then engage.
