Replacing calf meshes

I understand that I can quite easily replace the body mesh, but supposing I wanted to replace the calf meshes with an animated mesh rather than the static calf models.. is that possible? I can't find any item files relating to it where I could alter properties at all.. any ideas?
 
Yes, thats what I concluded from looking at that file.

I guess I could make them invisible and then have the body mesh be the whole thing... Only trouble is then if someone puts a jacket on, but no trousers, they'll have invisible legs... arg.
 
Can we station live horses in scenes? (player one seems to be alive and ok when you enter the city mounted) Then reskinned horses would be ok as calves.

If no live horses in scenes are possible, calf-reskinned naked special troops would be fine, no? Or "calf-armored" and with invisible body and "Mooo.." dialog. Idle animation will make them non-stationary somewhat. Reskinning some peasants would make calves walking
 
You can station horses in scenes. But you'll be able to ride these calves then...

Well, make them with riding skill 10 requirement. If you manage to have the skill, well, you deserve riding them
