Renounce my oath

If I renounce my oath after king denies my request for captured castle/city, do I get to keep the first fief he gave me or it reverts back to them?

It reverts back to him if you just renounce your oath I think unless perhaps you conquered it before his employ. If you want to keep it then you may want to try rebelling if you're powerful enough or bold enough. Try to get as many lords as possible before doing so however.

Actually you get a choice weather to give them back or keep them, obviously if you keep them that faction will be pissed

OK I tested again and I did keep the FIRST village I was given, despite it being attached to another city/castle that I don't own.

Has this always been the case? I thought in the past you didnt keep those.
