Custom Training Map!

I began creating a customized training map to our group so we can be ready for whatever is thrown at us.

Ideas I have had and will create:

Infantry:
- Cut-out Siege Area with ladders, a rocky breach and door entrance to break down. Infantry will assault via ladders and be ready to melee against dummies at the tip of the ladder. Infantry will also assault up the breach and through the door to attack the flag whilst the wall infantry provides covering fire from above.
- Fence Hurdles - Infantry will enter an assault course with varying obstacles and fences they will need to master how to jump them whilst keeping momentum.
- Firing Range 1 (More experienced) - Infantry will line up by the fence, the Officer will then call up a soldier to take a shot at one of the dummies on the range after being given the order to fire. If they hit, they are praised. If they miss, they will move to the back of the line to try again after the rest have had their try.
- Firing Range 2 (Easier, for straight accuracy tests) - A walled off firing range with 4-5 firing galleries. Infantry will take out all the dummies aswell as hitting the target at the end, they will be walled off so the infantrymen will not get distracted.
- Melee Arena - The Melee arena will be a closed off area for Infantrymen to battle it out like the gladiators of old.
- House Reinforcement - Infantry will assault a small town in the center of the map, a strategic location. They will cross the bridge, overcoming dazzled infantry (dummies) who have taken cover behind trees and bushes. Once advanced into the town, the Infantry will then assault the houses as different squads or all as one, finishing off the remaining infantry (dummies) who have retreated inside and taken cover. Once the houses are controlled, the Infantry will fire from the windows and doors at Infantry in the surrounding areas adamant to retake the town. If that isn't enough, the regiment may split into two teams, one taking the town, one attacking, then once the town is taken, the other team regroups for a counter-attack on the town.
- Infantry Track - There will be a course for the Infantry to train their feet in different terrain as well as learning how to turn corners fast and efficiently.

Cavalry
- Sword Play - There will be a fenced area in which there will be in-destructible and destructible dummies. The cavalry will charge forward swinging from left then right then thrusting forward to hit all the dummies successfully as well as understanding which swing they find best.
- Hurdles - Similar to the Infantry, there will be certain obstacles the cavalry will need to overcome in order to reach their enemy.
- Horse Riding Track - There will be a small track with winding turns to test horse-riding skill through the sharp turns with a few dummies to slash.
- Mounted Firing Range - There will be a small track with targets spread across, closer ones which the dragoons may stop and fire and further ones they will have to shoot whilst on the move.

Jaegers:
- Forrest targeting - In a forrest there will be certain dummies hidden behind bushes and trees, the Jaegers with their pin-point accuracy and eye for detail will pick off these targets one by one aswell as targets further back.

Officers:
- Duel Yard - Officers can compete as gladiators as well in their own elaborate yard, suited to the gentlemanly sword play.
- Pistol Firing Range - There will be a small area in which the officers can fire their pistols to gain accuracy.

Artillery (Complete):
- Gun Enplacement - At a small camp site the Artillery have already been set up. There is two 12 pounders, 2 Howitzers and 2 Mortars. Infront of the encampment are various targets at various distances. These targets include a presenting line of infantry (dummies of course), Skirmish squads (3 dummies together), an advancing line (one behind the other) and another presenting line towards the end. Behind each of these dummies is a target, once the dummies are taken care of with cannister shot, the round shot can be used to fire at the targets. Once hit, a prompt will appear in the corner telling your distance and score.
- Hill Fort - Behind the camp site there is a hill with a battle damaged fort. Inside the fort is two 12 pounders, this area is to train downhill firing as the distances and angles will need changing. Also their is a small window for the artillery guard to practise firing upon enemy infantry attempting to charge the cannon from below.

Here is my progress so far:

Always a happy day when more Austrians take the field! Best of luck guys!
Thanks! We thought Austria is the way forward due, to the little amount of regiments for it.
