Sergeant Knight
Well I was planning to change some animations...
And I got a question for anyone who knows or can help me figure out.

Which of these numbers defines were to position the hands?

  reload_musket 0  1
  2.000000 anim_human 22650 22860 9 0 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0

What I would to quess for what the green and the red text is the ones who defines the hand position

erm... no.. that's wrong, that's utterly utterly wrong. Those are the frame numbers. And why are you in animation.txt when you should be in module_animation?

okey. .. then I check for more. And cause.... really. I don't know.... I guess that was the first thing I though of.
But can you post wich of the numbers who is the hand posistions, from the module_animation

there is not currently an open source method available to add new animations so I don't think you can change the hand position.  Unfortunately, until this can be changed it means the left hand is lower then it should be when firing guns.

Well what I want to do is to lower the right hand when reloading a musket. And I want to do is to make it so that you wield them like this

or this...

or this...

is this doable?

And I was also planning to do a script that when you order "Present" the soldiers does the same animation as when firing. Exept firing although. And then "Fire". And when doing that. It will look cool as hell.

But what if you just copy the fire at will script and diable the firing part. They will just stand and aim, right? And they will reload if they have no ammo, right?

Everything you want to do is impossible, end of story. Animations are possible but you need to do skeletal animation and then get it into a BRF which is the main bugger atm. Trust me on this one as you'll find I've been mucking with animations for a long long time. A quick search could have directed you to this thread:

The whole present thing you mention is almost certainly impossible. Of course an advanced scripter may have some suggestion here.

Well. I think that those animations look good. But When you use the walk_forward_polearm or what it's called. It almost looks like this

And when parrying to the sides with a polearm it kinda looks like this.

So... There should be some way. I just need to figure it out.
As said before. The reload looks good. Are you going to include them in your mod?

No because if you read my reply or indeed that damn thread, we can't do animations in the current version.

And I have my own idea about how a musket should be held and used.. those animations would look ridiculous.

Hmm. Oh well. I give up them. Thank you for replying anyway.
