Religiously confused lords

I notice that some lords are shown with their religion as, for example, pagan
and yet it also says that they're a christian ruler? Is this something to do with their liege, or is there some other factor that causes this?
Not really a super important issue, just confused me a little.

Is such a lord merely existentially agnostic, with a sort of pagan alter-ego? Do they mostly rule over pagans, though their religion is different?
Actually I suppose the latter might be it, but I'd still like a straight answer to this shenanigan from someone I feel is in a state of authority on the matter at least slightly higher than myself.

I'm not sure what do you mean, could you include the usual requested files (rgl_log, savegame...etc https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,320833.0.html) and maybe a screenshot of what do you mean.

Hm. I feel a little daft now, though probably about the same level of confused.
Launched up the game to take a screenshot, and the bug seems to have fixed itself.
I know that makes it sound as though I was just making random **** up, but I don't really have any way of proving that assumption wrong now.
Amusing bug, seems to have gone, blah blah, never mind.

I'll include a screenshot of it being completely fine, anyway, just in case you're not sure what I mean when I say they're noted as a "Pagan ruler", or "Christian ruler".
