So I'm unsure of how to build a relationship with spouse. I'm at 0 with Ira but I don't know how to increase, also have had her in party for more than 100 days, no children.

Have you tried slaying her enemies and forcing the Senate to bend the knee? I hear that works wonders for her.

(but seriously speaking -- relationship is very hard to increase, especially with your spouse. There seems to be no way to do it. The good news, though, is that having children has nothing to do with your relationship -- I had a relationship of -1 and still had 2 children with Ira).

you could do it indirectly. if you defeat anyone in her clan in battle and then release them, it should improve relations with the whole clan

Spouses leave their former clan and join yours, so that won't work.

You're absolutely right. I started playing board games with her as my governor, and now we're good friends at 13 relations. However, 4 years into marriage and still no kids.
