Relation system

Playing the Singleplayer, I noticed that driving yourself into a system of hateful and bad relations is by far easier than receiving good ones. For example my own faction does not really like me, because I cannot do much to please them other than vote for them and my enemies either love me, because I let them go when captured or hate my because i raided their villages and took their castles.
I believe that giving 10k gold as a gift to a lord should definitely change your relation and make it better instead of not having any effect at all. And fighting together should also increase the positive relation, making it even more worth joining armies of your kingdom.

Another thing I noticed is random increasement of relations to random nobles. Do my companions fulfill tasks for them? And if so, why does it not show where those nobles live? If I receive notifications like this every day but cannot make any use of them, it appears to be rather annoying.

Press n for the encyclopedia there you can look where these lords have their fief where they was last seen and what they last did( sieged a castle, taken prisoner by xy,etc)

Sorry, I meant random notables, not nobles. I absolutely understand, where to look for the lords fiefs, but cannot find a way to find out where the notables are situated.

You mean the notables whose relations improve if you have high security?

You are right to point out the present problem with relations and I can only assume that will be adjusted soon. I loved in Warband how a lord you fought alongside in a battle would mention it in the future by saying it was glorious or something. Therefore, it was noticeable to me that the devs have not yet gotten to this.
