Relation reward increase in late game

I don't know if this is just me or a bug, but I have noticed since I started a new campaign that my relation gain with villages is way lower than it was in my last game. For doing the same kind of quest, I currently gain 1-2 relation with the villager while in my last game, I gained anywhere from 3-8 for each quest. I can't really find anything about this, but if it is true, there really isn't a reason for us to be grinding relation with villages till late game.

Does anyone know if this is a feature or can someone enlighten me?

Did you have a high charm skill in your last game ? High charm significantly increases relation gains. If thats the cause, then the reason to work on your relation early would be to level your charm skill, and of course to get access to more noble units. No idea if there is another reason for varying relation gain.

There is a perk under Charm skill can boost the relation with male or female
