Redrawing the current screen

I'm making a very simple mod to sort the troops and in the party window, and I've stumbled on what seems like it should be a real easy thing to do. Just forcing a redraw of the current screen. For a long time I used a work around where I programmatically closed and reopened the window, but I would like to do it properly. Does anyone know how to trigger a redraw of the current screen?
