Firstly make every clan elligible for the vote, even the ruling and the poorest. It is nonesensical that it is up to the game to make the decision of who kakes it to the vote.

Secondly the time to make the decision should be greater, like 10 to 14 days. It has been pointed out in numerous threads that 2 day limit is extremely incovenient due to the campaign battles, sieges etc. And it should be extended due to the next point:

Thirdly we should be able to talk to lords on the campaign map and convince them through dialogue or bribe to vote for the player. If they accept, the influence cost is lowered, if they refuse it should stay the same. And nobles with good traits should be less prone to bribes and dislike you for that, and those who are dishonourable are prone to accept.

Fourthly, make an artificial minimum peace period after the treaty. For example, one season/20 days. In doing this, the player can do the vote politics in peace. Some devs have already said that they dont want hard caps on such concepts, but it is absolutely necessary. Right now wars are far, dar too many and too tedious.

I also have this thought and have to agree that the current Kingdom Decisions needs alooot of work.

The fact that right now in-game, you only ever see 4 clans voting on most kingdom decisions like fief ownership is silly, on top of the fact that only 3 clans can be voted for.

Every clan leader should vote on kingdom decisions regardless (if a leader does not vote, relationship damage occurs), and the decision shouldn't end when the player makes the 'last vote' and instead should be stored out of sight until all the votes have been made or the time limit has ran out.
Every member of the court's vote should have equal value but kingdom policies can make it so higher tier clans' vote have a higher standing.

I think that the current use of influence to make decisions doesn't make sense. Influence should be used to sway votes instead by convincing other clan leaders. I agree on the time allowed for voting should be longer and this is where clan leaders start to negotiate with other leaders using their influence to sway votes, not particularly to get the fief themselves, but to sway votes in favor of their allies also.

Relationship, traits and culture should all be taken into account of how leaders votes and the results of how each leader voted should affect associated relationships and traits also. Whether the leader ignored another's request or backstabbed them after agreeing they would vote one way, etc.
The influence cost needed to persuade another leader will also depend on relationship, traits and culture.

These are just some quick ideas, but needless to say TW should implement a more complex decision system and use of influence.

Yes, Yes, Yes to all the above

The system you describe would also be essential for a democratic government, where a player would need to negotiate with senators to convince them to vote your way. This would take time to contact many senators.

Not exactly what you want but similar.
