Recruitment for "Hundred-Years War" mod

The Hundred-Years War (HYW) mod is an idea at the moment but we need more people. I'm Darkrider and i'm the leader of the modding community, but we lack talented and even novice modders. We require as many modellers, skinners, texturers, coders & scripters and some one to help me get this mod tied up and finished with an easy install package etc. in the final release.

IF you want for us to join you, you MUST tell us what your mod is all about. For now, we are having alot of projects going on, while our hand is (correct me if I am wrong) full hand for now. Unless you tell us what this mod will do to mount and blade and what will it contains, then we will consider about it.

Mount and Blade, a two person team medieval/fantasy game

Did I miss an update or something? Cuz I thought mount and blade was single player. Man, have I been missing out. This whole website is probably a fake one while everyone else goes to the multiplayer mount and blade site and laughs at me.

I'm recruiting and yes i do need as much help as possible. The first release will just be a basic renaming of towns.

The vaegirs will be renamed the english, and the swadians will be renamedthe french.

And i want to some how remove all steppe bandits from the game and remove all armour classes of that type. Khergit armour, Steppe helmet etc.
 
i need someone to build a new forum using PHPBB, once it's up let me know and i'll link it too the mod site.

you can remove it by deleting the items from the item_kinds file, but i would simply remove the 'sold in stores' bit and remove the steppe raiders so that the player can't get it frm them either. i don't know how to remove the raiders, though.
 
Disclaimer: Untested.

Option 1) Total conversion

Change the mesh for the 'steppe' equipment and rename them in the items file. Then, rename the party in party_templates file, and edit the units to something more appropriate. You can also edit the units in the party easily. The party template file entires go followingly (from memory):
party_name (some number) (faction number) (some number) (unit number) (unit minimum amount) (unit max amount) (boolean: Is unit a prisoner?) (some numbers on the end)

Option 2) Disable

Disable the 'sold in stores' option. Then, edit the party_templates, find steppe_bandits and make all the units to have both minimum and maximum amount of 0. I think this should make them not to spawn, haven't tested though.
 
Okay..now I have to state this..but there's an inherent problem with your mod.

England and France are separated by a channel. I know they had overseas empires and whatnot, but unless you can somehow set up a boat in the game, you're going to have some issues with realism. And last I checked, England had no towns named Rivacheg.

i was playing with the editor and noticed a disabled bit on the party edit screen. do you know if that works? i didn't try it.

Pretty sure it's a piece of cake to rename the towns.

Only difficult part I can see I modifying the conversation file to match...
 
I have modelled some basic stuff and could do some weapons and other easy stuff. You can tell me what to do and ill do my best. I'm a novice and don't want to make anything big and I use blender.

Sounds like a very good idea, and a 14th century setting needs less work than other mods. I'm afraid I can't help you with the models.

I wouldn't disable the Raiders. There were lots of unemployed soldiers and minor warlords wandering around and sacking villages. Just change their equipment and skills so they look like the English and French, and let them do their job :wink: Also, the Scots were allied with France and fought mainly as pikemen, as far as I know.

Hmm, somethings a bit off there, if anything the scots were allied to the french
