Recruiting prisoners for massive morale hit and more...

I was testing this today and noticed something for the first time. If you recruit bandit prisoners, and after you take the negative morale hit, it doesn't seem to pay to "upgrade" the bandits to "recruit" status. Example are steppe bandits, who have 100 proficiencies across the board plus riding and horse archery attributes, etc. If you "upgrade" these to tribesmen (for the same 1d weekly cost), all their proficiencies are reduced to 60 and they take away their horses and give them some sticks to fight with. Better off leaving them as bandits. WTF?
 
Yeah, it'd be nice if there was a proper bandit upgrade tree. Given Manhunters just got some love, maybe bandit buffs are on the horizon?
 
In the meantime, just use Morgh's Warband tools to change the upgrade path for bandits to a tier 2 or 3 faction troop....
 
Sea Raider upgrade tier is the worst....pretty medium tier'd troops reduced to single-axe wielding Nords with no armor.
