Recruiting lords question

I always loved trying to be a rebel lord in the original , so the kingdom management in this one is the best thing I've seen

I am curious about the Lords recruiting thing though. Does it randomly generate a lord to give to you every time? Or if you wipe out a faction can you recruit some of the lords from the faction you just wiped out?

And how come sometimes I seem to get a lord that really really hates me :/ ? I had to do a ton of quests to get one to positive faction.

Thanks!

It's quite simple.  There are 20 predetermined, already armed lords.  You can only recruit them.  Don't give a castle to one until they're already on the map.

Thanks ! Thats too bad though =( would be fun to recruit other lords from vanquished nations
Oh well I'm happy being able to recruit at all!

Also not sure, since I haven't done it in a while, but they might get progressivly better with each lord you get. Noticed each new one I recruited had more troops and renown, or was that just the luck of the draw ?

Havn't checked yet but check the renown of each new lord, if their renown gets higher then it'll probably mean they'll get more troops

Not entirely sure, actually.

Anyways, I think I'll write something up so that when you capture a Lord, you can either kill him, (that's already in) free him, (Native) gloat (also from Native) or ask him to join your party. If the Lord's Renown is higher than X he'll refuse and you kill him, and if it's lower than X he'll join your faction.

How does that sound?

That sounds awesome!

PS your archery system has totally spoiled me and now I can't stand archery in the other mods/native. Gah!

Sounds good, but make it based on honor rather than renown. Do lords have honor or is that only the player?

I meant honour, but whatever.

Anyways, custom battles are almost done, and the Rus invaders are now their own proper faction that come in about 200 days into the game. (Perhaps there'll be another invasion from the other side of the map at day 365 just to even things out, but whatever.)

But yeah, I just have to add a few more factions to the custom battles and then 0.25 will be out. The companions (aside from Ambalon's first character) will be excluded until .3, which will follow shortly after a little balancing and possibly doing the starting equipment/stats.

Also a heads up since I know you tried hard to remove mounts, you can sneak a  spirited courser in if you start a wealthy merchant daughter shieldmaiden character. Your starting equipment thing reminded me
