I've just put up the update. That's because I accidentally put up an older version, one that didn't work right. The new one should be fine.

yeah get the next version out pronto, i'll add this to the expansion section of the mod list however.
 
No problem. What would you like to see in upcoming versions? I need to know so I know where to improve it.
 
killer beatles? like the band?

that might be interesting. Give them instruments and put some of their music into the game as sound effects on their weapons.
 
Then you can make The Killer Monkeys that do the same thing! But seriously, smart idea, I'm not sure, honestly, what improvements can be made to a mod this simple, But I think it will play a role like Janus's Arena Mod. It will possibly be incorperated into almost every new mod/mod update around  :grin:
 
That's why I want to know what's to improve: It's simple, there's not supposed to be a big kerfuffle about little bits. If anyone wants things added to it (serious suggestions please), then I'll get on to it, like adding quests to do with the prisoners, but the more things I add, the more chance there is of bugs, and what with GCSE coursework and the like, I don't have a tremendous amount of time to fix things. I'll try to add and improve if people give me suggestions, but I need to know what they want done.

Actually, this can be very useful to the mod I'm working on right now, and to other mods as well. Can you update it so the prisoners might rebel? Ancient greeks used to force their slaves into battles (most notably the spartans), but of course they rebelled if they went overlooked for too long. Maybe you could mark them so they'd attack the player own troops if, for instance, after a battle the recruited prisoner number exceeds that of the regular warriors. They'd be in the team party script wise, but still be marked as former prisoners. Adding a variable plus a counter to the party and comparing it to the actual number of regular troops might do the trick.

One other interesting thing would be to recruit them as serfs for the farm system, but that'd be another mod. You can check with it's maker, to see if you can pull that off.

I'd like to see stack-wide recruitment attempts with a result dialogue - 3 join, 2 refuse - something like that. The prisoners who initially refuse should not still be randomly recruitable thereafter. Require that they are either sold or killed?

Right. It'll take a while, as I said earlier, but I'll certainly give it a go. I'm a bit inexperienced with modding (this one took ages to figure out), so if I need help, I'll ask on this thread. Watch this space.

Good deal. I'm looking forward to it. I'll let you know if I come up with anything useful for it, code wise.
 
Thanks, I really appreciate it. Anyone has any code, guidance etc, PLEASE post it, it will almost definitely come in handy.
