Recording in game

Does anyone know a good way to record videos ingame? I saw some threads saying FRAPS doesn't work well so I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas?

I think I recall someone saying you needed cheats to be on but I'm not sure.

Fraps works fine, it definitely hits you big in fps though, I have to scale back my battle sizer. 

It tends to store about 3.9G in 2 mins 20 secs or so, less at night, for some reason.  You need to compress it after that.

You can also try Xfire. thats what mabons and i are using. just download xfire from there site. its easy to use.

xfire seems to have less of an impact on performance.

What do you mean?

I was just saying that xfire is better for performance than fraps.

Fraps makes my comp slowww.

Thanks, I can record now but it doesn't capture the sound, is there a way of getting sound when recording?

How does Xfire record? Does it do a raw uncompressed avi dump like fraps? 

The part I dislike the most is that you can fill 50 gigs up so fast, that you either need to stop playing to process more, or delete the stuff if you don't want to keep it.
