Really really slow at start

Hey, so I just started running warband on my mac book pro using boot camp to vista. When I start up the game the talewords intro goes normally fast and smooth, but once i get to the loading screen it takes a really long time. So i waited the hour that it took, and when i got to the menu, it is still slow, and there is a huge amount of lag between where i put the mouse and the mouse over animation happening. Help?

My computer:

Intel core 2 duo processor
2.4 GHz
4 gigs of memory
Nvidia GeForce 320 m
256 megs video ram

(also, where do the save files go on vista?)

Oh that's an easy fix, buy a real computer that doesn't suck.

Took a full hour?  That's odd.  What are your graphics settings?  Mine plays...acceptably... with minimum settings.

boot camp to vista

If that means you're using a "virtual PC" to load into Vista, this could be the reason behind your problem, as "virtual PCs" typically run much slower.
