Really annoying shield bug! Please help me!

Ok so my bug is that whenever I use any kind of ranged weapon, knives, axes, bows, cbows, guns, etc. I NEVER hit past the enemy shields.
My shield skill is 10 and they still hit past mine! I can be ranging Conquistidor Rodeleros and aim straight for their ******* heads and it hits the top of their shield! I know it's going for their head because I put it in slow motion to make sure.
Is there a fix for this? I am ****ing fed up!

The simplest way is to set your shield skill to 0, because everyone on the battlefield is using the player's shield skill.  It is a known bug, and it has been around for at least two years.  I doubt it will be fixed anytime soon. 

Yes, you will be getting less coverage from your shield.
