Realism Mode - Inverse Kinematics Over Body Strikes.

For me it is still low fantasy. No human probably have the strenght to cleave two opponents, but it is more realistic than other features like Battanian Falxmen have regeneration health during battle for captain mode or people with 1% health that are running like uninjured people.

To me cleaving through enemies looks great and I can't wait to master this technique!

Ok, don't remove cleave, but at least make it a harder technique to master... Look at this:

How can't you guys find it amazing!? If the target was more well armored, the hammer would stop in place. Since the foe is dead, the player is able to continue the motion and "cleave" through. This would make cleaving a more balanced feature thus increasing visual fidelity (that's very important for immersion, gameplay and fun), making the player aim his strikes to the head for a faster killing against armoured targets, and then cleaving through them.

This footage demonstrates an important point against striking multiple opponents. The person hit moves with the force of the weapon, dissipating much of the imparted force. If there was a second target there, you would push them into each other at best. Even if the first target dies, that doesn't change their mass. And as discussed before in another thread, even with a bladed weapon it's not realistically possible to cut completely through an enemy.

I guess if you play bowling with people then while more realistic it would be overpowered. It would be hilarious in some mod: all enemies in line, you slap one at the end of the line and you get chain effect until the other end of the line.

….except that the effect would be reduced for each "target" along the way.  You push the guy at the end of the line, and he bumps the next guy with 60% of the original force, who then bumps the third guy with 20% of the original force, who then manages to stay on his feet.

There is Zed in League of Legends. He is the master of shadows. His shuriken goes through enemies. Then I guess throwing weapons should be like this.

That if you don't add the weight of the falling people to the chain effect. They won't do else a killed horse could crush multiple friendly troops.

I feel like the constant bumping would disrupt the flow of combat and be rather annoying - like being bumped by cavalry in Warband but all the time.

I'd wager the opposite. for starters, a warhammer charge is probably done once per battle at max and this actually gives some benefit to looser formation. more formation-dependence is more depth. suddenly you can't just puck ultra-close because it will limit your troop's ability to fight resulting you having to judge and rejudge the situation.
