Re-use beta files

Will we be able to re-use the game files from the beta? I have a limit on my internet and the beta is already more than 40gb (full game is stated as 60) so is there any possibility of just copying the beta files? If not officially, would manually copying the files and then checking file integrity work on steam?

I believe we have to reinstall the game. I suppose because there will be new fixes and such, copying the files may cause crashes and be unstable and worth just reinstalling to save the bother later down the line..

You can try that. I thought about it as well already. As the game-files are kinda similar / the exact files they'll use in EA I guess it should work for most parts. You might have to verify integrity or smth like that in case some files are outdated though

You shouldn't. Callum has said install the game completely new to avoid any file conflicts.

Mhm what he said. You could try it but highly recommended against it as it'll cause issues which well... could be avoided and reporting these issues could be a waste of time for the devs

But it'd be advantageous if we were able to pre-load the game. Cause with my ****ty internet connection (Germany's internet is ****ing garbage) it takes me bout 7-8 hours to download the game.

I wouldn't try that. config and text files will definitely not work. If something to work well, i would put my money on sound files/tiles/item files but don't quote me for that, game won't fuction well %99.

Best is a clean reinstall. It could work, but you could also experience countless bugs and who knows if its actually a real bug because of the game, or a bug because you're using beta files for the EA game
