Ranged Units

Is it just me or do the NPC archers have REALLY bad aim? My AI is set to good, but these guys can't hit anything. I have about 50 vaegir marksman in my army. Typically I tell them to hold position somewhere while me + companions either soften the enemy up or hold position behind them. Holy cow do these 'marksman' suck. I checked their stats... 4 power draw and 140 bow proficiency. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you need at least 150 bow proficiency to become reasonably accurate with a bow? It seems that at a paltry 4 power draw bows aren't really justified over crossbows. Swadian / Rhodock sharpshooters seem to be much better than the Vaegir marksman as far as ranged infantry go. Yes crossbows are slower, but the AI takes its damn time to shoot anything so that's completely nullified.

I've literally watched as routed infantry run past my 50 vaegir marksman unscathed. Just couldn't believe it. The huge passive block zone of shields is just icing on the cake.

i have ex perinced nord archers not firing when I'm close to the en my.however they are rubbish at aiming any way bow or crossbow. there only good in big numbers in seges or on there own with out troops as calvery and foot men get in there line of sight.

Noticed this myself actually, it's particularly obvious in sieges. Usually marksmen or archers are 2/3rds of the kills there, but lately they cant manage even half that. Most of the time they arent even firing.

i havent noticed anything wreal bad with it =p everytime i face the rhodoks i always get hit in the face with a crossbow and died, they took me prisoner 4 times already with those gay shots
