SP - Player, NPCs & Troops Ranged AI is too accurate

I think ranged AI is too strong at the moment because the AI is too accurate with it.
I noticed this the first time in the mp beta when my fians straight up massacred a unit of vlandia knights.
Cavalry is supposed to counter archers, and it did in warband, but now charging your cavalry into a group of archers is suicide.
I think the chance for AI archers to miss should be higher, because at the moment it feels like every archers in the game is a noldor from Prophes of pendor

Fians are Noldors.
I play archer-heavy campaign right now, and my single fian champion usually kills alone as much as my other 15 archers together.

Although I partially agree. There need to be some weakness against cav. But I wouldn't search for it in accuracy. Maybe tweak AI to have worse spatial awareness. So archer focused on shooting forward won't suddenly turn 180 degree just to headshot flanking cavalry. Or increase their FF avoidance cone, so they are less likely to shoot near their teammates.
But first of all make AI use shields more. That apply to infantry as well.

Totally agree. Archers tend to beat cavalry in a matchup.
1. Higher tier archer units are too good in melee. They might as well replace infantry entirely and that's what I am basically doing in every battle in the campaign. They whittle down the enemy, and even if they make it to melee there are still random archers in the formation firing at point blank range doing enormous damage.
2. They are definitely too accurate and the Relative Speed projectile bonus is absolutely devastating against cavalry. It nullifies their armor even if they're a heavy unit.

So archer focused on shooting forward won't suddenly turn 180 degree just to headshot flanking cavalry.

I see this very often as well. Especially against myself. An archer can spin instantly to shoot at any angle. This needs to be toned down.

I agree or perhaps ranged Npc needs to do less damage in addition or by itself. I remember my first time riding up a keep to siege and like 30 MPH getting instantly 1 tapped head shot off my horse lol was really early on but was painful either way

I dont think it's so much that arrows should do less damage. Archery and arrows are devastating in real life. What I think should be nerfed in the number of arrows there are in a quiver (because 30 even 20 arrows is a stupid unrealistic for a normal body quiver). Archer troops should have low par melee skills to balance out that they aren't the infantry. But that in a field battle. Archers don't have mass amount of arrows in their pockets. It would make archers much more glass cannons if they had a limited amount of arrows as it would force players and AI to really consider when and where to loose their shots.

Imo quivers should hold 10 if not 8 normally, with special quivers going to 14 max. Also consider in sieges, that's where reloading quiver sets should be and is implemented. (Atleast in MP is was)
