Randomly Generated NPC's

I didn't see any posts about this when I searched, so here goes. My idea is adding randomly generated hero npc's for friendly and opposing troops. These NPC's could only be knocked unconscious and not be killed, but if you have the option to take them prisoner and you simply choose not to, they would disappear just like any other prisoners. This could add depth to some quests, such as instead of having your normal 'capture the noble' quest, with an unnamed noble npc, it could be like 'capture Lord Cunningham of Tihr' (this would also allieviate the problem of having your troops kill the nobleman in question, which my knights seem to enjoy doing). This could also add more quests, such as working for manhunters and being assigned to 'track down a notorious outlaw Jacob Smith and bring him to justice'. In addition, generals could be added with tactics skills and what not to command the different forces.

This idea would also work well with the 'entourage' idea, with randomly generated medic and merchant npc's for hire, in addition to the ideas(I forget the name) where you would place troops under the command of the different hero npc's and use them to distribute orders to your troops.

This is a very good idea,
The best would be if these NPC's, instead of being spawned just for you, were independent, led by separate worldmap-level AIs, having own goals.

Unfortunately, saturday is not the best day for a good idea to draw attention. You could have waited till monday
