Hi All

Just got my first village in game... Can some one tell me what the village positions do? And how I use them?

According to my elder I currently have a Marshall, a Judge and he is hiring a Priest...

But there is no option to talk to them in any of the menus? What do they do and how do I access them?

Apparently I also have a storeroom but cant access it that I know of... And a council chamber have no idea what that does, and Im building a Hidden Treasury...

Thanks

The judge does just what his name suggests. Sometimes you'll get an income from the result of his work.
The marshal helps the judge by catching the criminals.
The priest will raise your relation with the village.
And the treasurer, of course, will collect the taxes -- you still have to collect them from him, though.

Nope, you don't need to talk to them. If you want to read what they do in-game, just ask mayor, when you ask him about hiring one of them, you'll have option "tell me more". He'll explain role of people/buildings in your villages/ towns.

Ah ok... Kinda cool I guess... Though I got excited about more NPC's to talk to and interact with lol oh well.

Another random question...

As a merc and now a lord of Sweden I can now talk to the Garrison Commander of Swedish fortresses and towns and get them to train troops...

I figured out that you have to wait a few days before they are ready... But is there a way to just take a few of the trained men?

Like usually I go in and order 3 Life Guards (max), 5 Musketeers (max), 5 Dragoons (max) and 3 Swedish Ritters (max)

But sometimes I just need to grab the Life Guards or Musketeers and leave the cavalry in there for when I need them... Anyway to do this?

Also Ive noticed that when you take a town/castle you no longer have the option to place men in the garrison, and instead the place remains empty until the King gives it to someone? This is stupid cause it just means I have to hang around for ages waiting for the King to make a decision... Is this the case or am I missing something here?

You must have some bug, because when I take some town/fortress, there are few units placed automatically.
But there's not too much of them, so If you go somewhere, enemy could take it back any ways, so It's better to stay and not let them come close.

Yeah I noticed that after awhile... Still a bit of a downgrade though... As I used to dump all the rescued prisoners in the garrison and then go to the tavern and hire all the mercs and dump them in there also to add to the defence... But now your pretty much forced to hang out there until the King decides...

Any idea on my main question... This one bugs me the most:

what do you mean? to recruit faction troops you need to go to a town/castle and talk to the commander.

Not that I'm aware of.

You have to either take them all, or leave them all. As far as I know, they'll wait indefinitely once prepared, as long as you don't try to hire anymore (which will automatically attempt to add all of them to your army).

are you talking about the garrison? if you click on a unit you take only some of them with out taking the whole buch.

Im talking about the Commander under the "Go to Town Centre" menu option where you get the dude to train you some troops...

Ah damn... Yeah I figured out that they stay there forever haha and have since gone round to every castle and city and ordered some for when I need them...

Kinda sucks that you cant only take a few at a time though...
