ran once then stopped

okay i dled this cause someone said it was good over at the elder scrolls forums so i thought id check it out. i installed it then played it fo rabout an hour just messing around with the controls and such but i didnt want it to save so i alt+F4 it and it closed. a couple hours later i tried and it said error has occured. it didnt even pop up at all. any help would be nice. im above requirements and im using the newest directx. im going to reinstall the full version and see if that works. any other suggestions?

okay i tried ot reinstall at one percent i got this


Error opening file for writing:
"C:\Program Files\Mount&Blade\mount&blade.exe"
hit abort to abort installation,
retry to retry writing file, or
ignore ot skip this line




Any help on this?

well apparently it wont install the executable file to run it. all the data is there just it wont run it.

oh well i tried full patch install and everything. well this game had a LOT of potential. i really liked it but i guess ill have to wait until its full version is out.

no go. ive tried everything i coudl think of. re installed direct x 9.0c i deleted all references to m&b redownloaded then installed the patch to try it that way still got the same message. i cant get this to work. any help is appreciated as i really like this game

Which message are you getting? Still "unable to open.."?

Also, what operating system are you using?

Two quick things to check:

1. Clear out the temp directory (start - > run -> %TEMP%)
2 If the above fails, try disabling all background programs before running install.
