Hi

I only have 4gb of DDR3 RAM. I play Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord at the lowest settings and 1024x768 and I have barely 40fps, In large battles - fps decreases to 10/15 /20fps and I have a question - if I add 4gb of RAM, will the amount of fps increase in the game?
Do you think that in the future developers will increase the optimization of configuration for weaker laptops?
Thank you in advance for your answer

I was waiting for this answer , I can't buy a new computer yet, I have other expenses
well buying a new pc or laptop is really the only way to fix ur problem. Most if not all current games require at least 8gb and 16gb is really the way to go in 2020. and i think this game is really cpu hungry (i think im not too sure)

They will optimize the game and they are doing it in the recent patches and i have notice smoother gameplay after every patch but if im gonna be honest I don't think the game will be optimized for weaker laptops. And even tho i think adding 4gb more ram would help i don't think its gonna make a huge difference

Yes, with 8 gb ram the performance will be better, but you have to wait for optimisations to play without stuttering, lag etc. 8 gb ram will improve your performance, i dont know how much(depends what cpu and gpu you have), but you will still have spikes etc because is EA. Try to debloat your laptop, defrag your drives, disable windows services that are useless, defrag your drives. Sorry for my bad grammar, english is not my native language, tell me where i was wrong. Thank you

Thank you so much for your reply.
I will buy 4gb and write if the game's performance has increased. I think this is the best option for me right now. I don't need to have everything on ULTRA, I'm mainly interested in good gameplay, and this has been providing me with M&B for several years

You will still have lag and spikes with 8 gb ram, becaus, at this moment, the game is bad optimised, but as you can see the dev are making a great job and they are working very hard. Everyone have lag, so we have to wait.

If you cannot upgrade your whole system (mainboard + CPU + RAM), try to get the fastest possible DDR3 that your mainboard support.

From this list on wikipedia, you'll want the latest (DDR3-2133 / PC3-17000).

I would suggest you to get 8GB instead. When playing, I noticed M&B 2 use up to 12 GB. But what matters most is the memory speed, it is often better to have less faster than more slower.

I can't replace the graphics card and processor, maximum RAM up to 8 GB and this is the only way to increase performance a bit

im very sure ram is the minor issue

I have 32Gb RAM, most of the stress is on my graphics card being a nvidia 970 GTX....cant handle more than 400 people siege on medium quality

Hum, so you have 8x the amount of RAM he has, and very obviously not DDR3 but much faster DDR4. I dont think it is comparable.
How much RAM is being used by M&B: less or more than 4GB?
