Raise level "limit"

Could you set up the level progression above level 50? 754 million is just a bit more than I can get for level 51.

While it would be nice to be able to go above 50, anything above 60 would become ridiculous. At that level, your character would become far too strong and M&B is about skill and not level. So theoretically a lvl. 1 can easily kill a lvl. 50 if they are not careful.

You are already somewhat too strong at level 50 (or even level 35 for that matter). I'd say just open it up and if someone wants to take their character to level 100, then let them. If they get bored, then they can start a new character.

My opinion anyway...

Perhaps have a cap on stats, but not on skills. There's a point where people just don't get stronger or faster or whatever, but they should still be able to pick up new fighintg or commanding skills.

I'd say the best way to go is to have infinite level advancement, but place a hard cap on stats. Skills should do less and less with each subsequent upgrade, so that there is a finite limit to how powerful you can become - kind of like how you can keep going faster and faster but never get to light speed. That way there could be enemies who are always a challenge no matter how long you play the game, and you could have the fun of infinite advancement.

Definitely! I want to be able to become god--if you can't advance infinitely, what's the fun of a game you're inclined to play infinitely? Besides, think of it this way--no one stops learning, and although caps on strength and agility may be relevant, there shouldn't be a cap on intelligence or charisma (since, of course, if you're going to be god, emulating a certain famous long-haired, robed cult leader can't hurt).

i simply think that the required xp should be raised.

maybe thats just caus i have to lay the demo and want to keep playing below level 6 lol

but really, getting up levels seems to get easier than it hould, since beating enemies is easier when your higher level, but you still only need like 1 thousand to get from level 5 to 6.

I don't like the idea of being "god". Whats the fun in that? You might as well just turn on a cheatmode to make you invincible. Personally i think lvl 50 is high as it is. I would be more content with something as low as 30. I like to have a specialized character, not a jack of all trades. Like on morrowind, there was little point in creating a new char...because you could do everyting with your main. Oh, and stoner, my main character is in the upper 40's, and its takign over 80k exp to level. So the first 10 or 15 levels come easy, then it starts taking alot more time.

Maybe the effect of leveling can be reduced a bit. Then you'd be a level 70 before you'd get extremely overpowerful, and I haven't seen any level 70's around yet.

I'm not suggesting (in this post) changing stats or skills in any way. Just make level progression go on above 50. For those that don't want that uber character, fine, don't play one up that high. I don't see how this would affect you at all (especially since there is no multi-player). But I was having fun filling out the skills on my solo character. Having level progression extend above 50 would just let those of us who enjoy making that super character do so.

Johann67, you won't see level 70s because it takes 754 million experience to go from level 50 to level 51. The most xp I can get from a battle is taking on war parties where I get around 15,000. So I'd have to kill a war party every minute of every hour for 35 days in order to hit level 51.

I love the game, but that isn't going to happen.

I'm already finding my character and party finds few challenges in battle even at level 30.

Having the ability to reach high levels would be fun, but I think the game needs some higher level and more powerful enemies before that happens if we still want it to be challenging.

Many suggestions have already been made, such as elites and unique characters, etc.

Agreed, it should take longer to level than it currently does. More gradual increase of power would alleviate the "I'm so powerful this is boring, time for a new character" syndrome.

Well, seems like everyone has a different opinion as to what the max level should be. So how about, for those of us who think it should be lower, add a little checkbox that when checked stops all exp growth. So once i hit my lvl 40 or whatever, i can stop gaining exp if i so wish.

That is the perfect solution

I myself would love that when you get more levels up, you see different enemies. like, less river pirates and TONS of dark hunters.

I like the checkbox solution tho, very good idea

That sounds about right to me Dalagga, I saw a post where Armagan said he plans to boost the skill limits to 10 rather then the current 8. I got allexcited. I would hate to see that left behind.

Lets not forget that we may not be seeing the most powerfull foes that Armagan may be cooking up and just arent in this version. Later on we may wish we could get to higher levels just to keep up.
