I just read the Game Engine thread in the discussion forum and there was someone saying something about physics, and Im not so much into the technically bit of games but I wonder if that thing about physics is a possibility to make ragdoll to M&B in the future? Is it possible to have ragdoll in the M&B engine? And if there are going to be a ragdoll thing, add an option button to switch between ragdoll and pre made death animations.
 
i'm far from an expert on this sort of thing, but i would imagine that this would require integrating some sort of physics engine (ie havok), which would have to be either licensed or created from scratch. There might be a few free ones out there as well. But the main problem would be the programming required to fit it in with the existing game engine. We're talking major overhaul. So... possible...maybe... but extremely time consuming, and possibly expesive. I think armagan's time would be better spent at this point just getting the game to 1.0
 
Heh. It's not often you see Arathiel around here nowadays.

But he's exactly right. It's too much work for a feature that impacts on the gameplay in no way whatsoever.
 
Most likely we wont be seeing ragdoll effects in MB1, but what i think would be great is an effect similar to broken sheilds applied to weapons when someone dies.
