Very Tall height will be added in future updates ?

game is out of production, so don't expect any new features. Patches are for fixing bugs.

you can, however, do it yourself via modding. If you want to learn more visit the modding section, Q&A thread there, and the Forge subforum

Oh, okay  I'll look for some mod that puts that height, Thanks for the reply !

Usually kings of a faction have on the campaign map 4 horses built up as a symbol. Is it possible for me to get this kind of symbol too?

sure, its just a party icon. As your party grows in number you will see that your own icon will change to reflect it.

I recently conquered Dun Averte on behalf of the Northumbrians, but the Jarl/King refuses to grant it to me.

you can't conquer castles/towns outside the story script, nor become a king, etc, as it would break the storyline. If you want to play free of restrictions you need to play sandbox.

if you are not playing the main storyline (you indicated you were on your post), then remember that there are other factors into play here. You can even explore the algorithm if you download the game code (see modding subforum)

the quest
for Dun Tarou states that Dun Tarou needs to be held for 20 days - it's been held for like 26 or 27
its 20 ish, you need to hold it (be the lord) and wait around the place (no infinite camp or cheats), and near the 20 days a event will popup

use spoiler tag for storyline stuff!

Oh, well in that case:

1. Is there any way to cheat/ edit my savefile so I can receive Dun Averte?
2. Given that I
already declined the lordship of Dun Tarou (it is now owned by Bjorn, I think?), does that mean the storyline is broken? Prior to doing the mission, the quest-giver  told me that I could claim Dun Tarou "if I wanted to". Which I don't, because Tarou is too remote and I had already been planning to capture Dun Avarte.. Also, is that 20 days camped there in the vicinity, or 20 days camped anywhere?

nope. You can easily break your game if you use cheats in storyline. Just keep working on it and you will finish it in a few hours. After that the game turns into normal sandbox. You are trying to go off the rails. That is a great way to crash and burn

Spoilers for storyline:
Quote from the npc giving you the quest
"I want to secure our rear. We cannot take any action against the south, Asturians or Franks if the Picts can raise an army and attack Jorvik.^" +
"Recruit an army and conquer Dun Taruo. Keep it in your power for at least twenty days, so that Alban will think that we plan to attack the heart of their kingdom. " +
"If you want to keep it, it's yours, but we need twenty days to secure a deal with Alban.

Your faction (kingdom/nation) needs to hold it for 20 ish days. Each 24 hours the game checks if that is the case and reduces 1 for the counter (20, 19, 18, ....). When its less than 0... it moves to the next step of the quest

You can wait anywhere, but if you move away from the castle... the enemy will reconquer it (and so you will need to go back and fight again!). Best to stay near it, or even sleep in the castle for the ~20 days

btw: don't worry about conquering stuff while doing storyline, you won't keep it (or most of it) after that is over

Yeah, Dun Tarou is definitely secure. I destroyed the Alban king in a field battle, Martial-ordered three buddies to patrol the fiefdom, and now that Bjorn is in charge there's a sizeable garrison. One Pictish lord tried to recapture it a week ago, but now he's sitting in my prison-cart. As I said, I've played Warband before (up to and including World Conquest), so I know how to protect my possessions.

Anyway, I'm guessing I get betrayed, or somehow lose all of my fiefs then? In that case, I'll just RP it as if I was so invaluable to the war effort, that while the Northumbrian council made me de jure ruler of Dun Averte, the Jarl and I decided to give that Saxon bastard temporary de facto stewardship over my fief.

What specific number do i need to get that party icon?

im thinking about starting my own kingdom..

should i try to make enemy lords defect, or give holdings to my companions?
\
in the case of companions, i presume i should level up their leadership really high, and only give away the companions i dont really need... ie maybe Brunhild because I have a lot of overlap with high int characters

harpred 说:

either, both, depends on how you play and what type of kingdom you are creating. Similar to Native, only major difference is religion (if you care about RP).

remember you can also start a royal sandbox, which is a easier/faster way to be a king, as you starts with RTR, companions, territory and lords at your service, and at peace with other nations.

This is a very curious thing, my char is a viking raider, and I feel a little remorse for attacking the same monastery that taught me to read.  :???:

My Swedish hero raids any monastery without excitement because those monks are so weak and unprotected. No honor in it at all. Raiding caravans is a better thing to do.
My advise: if you badly want to raid this particular monastery, at least buy some wine from them before that

I've looked everywhere I talked to the lords, the court manager, and even went to towns, is there a right to rule minimum req?

promote a minister (companion or your wife, not the generic npc), then talk to him
