Hidden Cache,
I am supposed to tell the Village Elder "Ogniem i Mecziem" (Fire and Sword in Polish and the quest's password) but my character says "Fire and Sword" in English and therefore cannot complete the quest.

You already got the game???

It is the password,
I've talked to about five colonels and they all tell me it's "Ogniem i Mecziem" but the option doesn't pop up when I talk to the Elder.

That is because they tell you wrong password, What does the quest ask? What was battle cry of Don cossacks?

Given by: Company Commander Ivan Hmara

Company Commander Ivan Hmara asked you to collect the money from Dunayivtsi and bring it to Hmelnitski.

I've talked to Hmara, Hmelnitski and five other colonels and they all repeat the same password '"Ogniem i Mecziem' (in Polish) but the option to give to the NPC Elder is 'with Fire and Sword' and I think he wants Ogniem i Mecziem but it doesn't pop up.

Thanks,
though that was kind of unexpected because I assumed I had to get the answer from the Cossacks as opposed to ask a foreign faction.

It's kind of amusing that I had to circle around the map and finally it was the Russians (didn't know they spoke French...  :???:) to get the correct answer.

In the quest it told you that password was used by Don (maybe some other name) Cossacks.

Actually it is historically correct.  AFAIK during this time period most Russian lords spoke French because it was the cool thing to do.

Actually, my version of this quest, the password was the motto Cardinal what's his face had ordered inscribed on the cannons.

This quest is retarded. I was given this quest by cossack army chief whatever to go and fetch the money from a cossack village and the idiot tells me a wrong password so I can't deliver the money to him. It's as reasonable as urinating in your own boot..
