hello,

I'm wondering.. Sometimes I get these quests like to destroy a bandit lair somewhere.

Problem is I have no idea how to find the bandit lair so I can't destroy it at all..

And sometimes they ask me to rescue or ransom a prisoner and I have no idea how to do this at all.

Can anyone tell me I've tried to scan the map for the bandit lair or go into the castle and tell the guard to give me the keys then I kill him and nothing happens at all and I'm back to square zero.

so if anyone could tell me it would be much appreciated

Kind regards

The bandit lairs are hidden until you walk close enough of them. Bandit parties also are spawned a lot around them, so try to search where you see the most bandit parties. I don't know about Tundra or Steppe bandits, but forest bandit camps are, surprisingly enough, located in the middle of forests, and sea raider camps at the shoreline, if that helps.

Breaking out a prisoner.. well, when you kill the prison guard you get a message in the lower left corner telling that you got the keys. Once you've done that, you need to go into the prison and talk to the prisoner. This quest is bugged though, so once you've spoken to the imprisoned lord and go out, he's outside too and might attack you, forcing you to knock him unconcious. If he gets unconcious, you can't get him out of the town either.

I've never had them try and kill me, but I noticed they don't follow the battle plan I have them set on. If I tell them to stay behind and out of the fighting or not get involved, they all just rush anyways.

I don't think they attack you.  They attack anyone that gets close to them.  As long as you don't get too close you won't get attacked.  (That is what happens for me anyway).

How do you leave the castle though?  I have got the lords out of the dungeon, and killed all the guards, so where do I go now?

There are no working doors, except to the lords hall, and if I go in there the whole thing resets (everyone is friendly, prisoners are back in dungeon, prison guard is alive).  I have looked around the gatehouse etc. but I can't find a way to make my exit.  I even tried jumping off the walls and running into the wilderness, but it just brings me back to the courtyard.

Once you kill all the guards then you automatically get teleported out.

Btw, also I know that once you do a quest for one of the "older" ladies you can ask them to buy presents for lords to increase your reputation..

now I've been talking to every lady that I see but they all say "I have no need for a champion right now". Does anyone know if there's any time/way to increase the change of they having need of a champion?

regards

There are lots of ladies. At least one of them should be looking for a champion... once in a while. Keep looking!

I had to rescue some Khergit lord out of Uxkhal(his brother had jumped to Nords and asked me to do it,) and he attacking me three times in a row. After fourth reload, he attacked only the town guards.

Interestingly enough, every time I had the Khergit lord attack me, the town guards slaughtered the merchants and guildmaster when I started fighting the prison guard for the keys.

Actually you can just double press F1 when get out of dungeon - so the lord you're trying to rescue going to hold position (and probably gonna stay out of trouble). Actually when you get out of dungeon with him, you can command him (or them if there're more then one lord) just like any of your own troops on battlefield using F1/F2/F3 commands.

From what I've seen, the only quests they ask you to do in Warband is to free a captured son/husband. So obviously they'll only ask for your help during wartime, unless they've simply never asked me to do whatever else they might ask someone to do.

I have to rescue someone in hostile castle but when i succesfully sneak in i can't talk to prison guard and if i kill him i don't recieve keys so doors stay closed. I can kill every troop in courtyard but can't get to the dungeons. I was walking on the walls killing everyone and find out that i can open the gate by holding "F" on that spinning-wheel with ropes. I can open the gate but what for?

I'm stuck with this quest second and last time!

if you get a quest for destroying band lair by  A SWADIAN LORD it will usually be in the huge forest under SUNO and to the right of Uxhkal
if you get a quest for destroying a bandit lair by a RHODOK it will usually be between Reveran and Maras Castle... i can only advice if it is any other faction you try big forests or mountains.

After you win a tournament go straight to the Lord's Hall and talk to a lady. You can dedicate your win to her. Some ladies will appreciate it more than others. You should get your foot in the door with her either way.

Ah yes Lady Johana.  How I tried to woo her.  Winning the tournament impressed her the most,  with 4 points.  A nice poem?  2 points.  Rescuing her only family member, her brother from a Rhodok prison? 0 Points.  I guess she doesnt like her brother much
