Just a small suggestion on quests when you join a kingdom as a vassal. in the recent update rebels would be treated as a bigger threat, so the faction leader could give out quests with huge rewards, such as horses , legendary weapons, fiefs etc. and can also trigger a cutscene.
And quests can be in the genre of classic midieval romances such as saving imprisoned clan leaders (princess/prince) from 'evil' rebels, getting a castle as a reward, and maybe marry them off increasing your power and relations in court.
would be great for overhaul mods aswell.
