Quests are boring

Just that, there isn't a single quest that caught my attention enough to keep me playing, it's repetitive and grindy. There should be other ways to make progress.

Yeah and then they crash you game too. Oh I had a mod installed, it must be the mods fault *we'll see about that ) Nope still crashes when I finish that hideout. In addition to different quests they need to either have more quest ALWAYS available at EACH village, OR have ANY quest give relation to all notables. It's just too petty and worthless to get relation with just one when 2/3 time it's one that doesn't even have the good troops.

I like Caravan Ambush because it's so easy and fast to do. Just 1 battle near the city directly after starting the quest and it's done.
Escort Caravan on the other hand, no thank you lol. Escorting the caravan for days is so boring.

Most quests are indeed meh, Train Troops for you? Nah mate, always skipping that :3

We know that claimant quests are coming, offering new ways to progress (soon...).
But regarding the current quests, I find some of them quite good.
Betting fraud is coherent and interesting for a rogue play.
Missing daughter is also nice. The first time I completed it, I felt sorry for the daughter after she became a lone wanderer...
Discover the Spy is also efficient and interesting to do.
Prodigal son is also well rounded.
Those have a rare occurence conditions so you find them less often.
The common and less common quests are a quick way to improve relation, earn denars, get xp.
The different quests have side effects for some of them, but TW could definitely make them more impactful (notable power, relation gain/loss between AI, loyalty and security impact etc...).
Another wish is that TW makes the quests easier to create and mod in the future, with an official documentation.

In this i'll have to disagree, i find the quests great and we already have far more variety than in warband though i would like more mid-late game quests involving nobility, armies, backstabbing plots etc since right now 99,99% of quests lose their appeal after you progress to mid game and then things get completely stale since from mid to late the game is severely lacking in content and becomes just a mindless map painter.

In short, quests aren't boring, there is just too few of them (even if more than warband) and they are almost all concentrated in the early game which is the only phase that don't seem barebones right now.

Also why even bother doing them? There doesent seem to be that much benefit when having high relation, its kinda just not worth the efford..

Escort quests are possibly the worst type of quest ever thought of. Even fetch quests allow you to do other things while your fetching whatever but escort quests are just time wasters and really glorified babysitting. Imho the Train Troops quest could be ok but because of how finicky leveling is it's a p.i.a so yeah I think it's more about how poor the game mechanics are and not so much about the quest itself.

Yeah the quests are OK.

They could be better .... and they could be worse.

They certainly aren't even close to the top five (or even ten) things that need to be fixed now in Bannerlord.

The daughter quests works it's charm one time though. The problem with them is that they don't have variations too. It's always the same. They should be programmed to have different outcomes or variations of the characters, specially "Missing daughter". But then you have quests like "Inn and out" which can be done in one second by paying, which actually gives a good reward without playing the boring minigame, and "The art of trade" which can be found everywhere and it's really just wandering around the map until you find a place that buys the materials you have for a good price, they're not bad quests but they're the only ones to be found, in towns it's always "gang leader needs weapons" which is another boring quest to do. I understand we need low tier quests to do at first, but they could ACTUALLY be related to someone and give you better rewards the more you work for them.

I think what's boring about them, is that they don't feel like they help your renown (rip missing feature). Instead, your clan levels up as if this was an MMO, and for me this is a drag, I feel like I'm just gathering points instead of getting to be known in a place. That's why I miss features like the Guild Master that would always give you caravan/hunting bandits missions, it made so much sense in world, because you're literally helping a town's prosperity and the town recognizes you for it, and people start to want to join you, even better troops. Now you just help a slave master get you some dudes as a reward, same thing with villages, you could help a town proper and everyone would love you and then pack up your army because of the loyalty towards you.

Also, yes, mid game politics are non existent. I miss ladies giving you quests to fight other lords, quests that consisted in starting wars at the side of the other lords, quests that consisted in conspiring against some other lords, and building relationships with a cause. Really all the possibilities I feel like I can do in Bannerlord is just killing random looters, because the quests are just "Ok" which represents a bigger immersion problem for me. Being just Ok Is not a good thing.

Quests serve only one purpose, give the player a source of income. That's it, everything is secondary and that's why they suck. Devs just keep pooping these because someone said so and this is the result.
Actually giving small but meaningful storylines that are simple but engaging would completely add a new way to play the game.

A big problem is they are always the same. No surprises.
Looking at "Associates Captured by Bounty Hunters" - it's always a bandit hideout. The same hideouts that we've all cleared a hundred times.
But there aren't even any bounty hunters there, it's just normal bandits like always.

It's just an early source of income/exp; but otherwise, clashes with the rest of the systems in the game. Not worth doing after the early-mid game, thereby, useless for the remainder of the playthrough (+'dynasty'). All the same rewards/result - a bit of money and relation boost with a town (both which you can easily get passively later on). Bandits/troops scale with your clan (or character?) level which makes it even more ridiculous.
For a game (still) trying to implement this feeling of building a dynasty; a radiant quest system is what probably works better.

wait you guys do quests?

pretty sure i haven't even done half of them, you kinda do the same ones to get your clan started then they quickly get replaced by prison brakes for Charm then caravan hunting + immortal charm for coins

Lord needs horses.... What a terrible disaster of a quest.

-Oh, hello, my Sturgian lord. I see you've got a quest, wonder, what it would be
-Hello, I need horses, 20 Sturgian trotters.
- But we're in the middle of an Aserai desert..
- I understand, that's why I give you 5 days to collect the horses and bring them to me. I'll probably be at the other end of the map by the time you do this, so it'll be easy to find me via encyclopedia.

the scaling on some is pretty bad. Lord needs horses is great early on when the requirement is not more than 10, later it's close to impossible.

just in case anyone didn't know quests scale depending on your clan tier, maybe renown too

Yeah for sure. "Oh I was gonna ask for like 2 cows... but after taking a good look at you... I think we need 45 ****ing cows! How about it, if you can find 45 cows before this village gets raided or the quest expires you can gain enough relation to hire 1 more Imperial recruit from me! Isn't that a great deal? Where would you ever find another imperial recruit"
