Alright, i recently got accepted into the beta, and i've gathered the servers are US or EU based, im wondering is there any Australian servers for the future? Seeming i don't exactly want a 200-300 ping connecting to America.

All of the servers that begin with GAMES_ON_NET are aussie I believe. Try playing on one of them.

I'm not sure about the latest version, but there's been some issues with servers not appearing when you search lately. If you're not seeing them just search again until they come up.

I frequently play on Games on net servers (More known as internode which is also an IPS :> ) they're normally reliable on other games, i'll try them.

Is there any other way to tell the server's location? Or is such a feature coming soon (such as a region filter)

Sorry if these questions seem noobish, i havn't even installed the game yet, im still downloading im so excited.

There is no region filter, dunno if it will come later.
Some servers have name tags; EU_Sx are Euro servers, US_Sx are US servers. These are official servers.
There are some CHINA servers and GAMES On NET ones are Australia servers.
There are some more unofficial servers; Batttleground, Courtyard, 22nd, Einharjar servers are all Euro.
Best you can do is to look at the ping.

There's no region filter, but the Aussie (GoN) ones are hosted in Adelaide I believe. No other aussie ones at the moment - the next closest are the ones in China, which I get 200 ping from.

Also, sorry to say updating of the GoN servers is awaiting the next patch, as there are some problems with .670. So until a new patch is released they're not updating.

You can download the version they're running on by changing the number in the download link to .660 though.

Would it be possible to download a sort of i guess you'd call it downgrade to their version, i wouldn't want to have to download another 500MB for a lower version to play just on those particular servers

So I can downgrade back to 660? Never new that.

Should do, the patch from .660 to .670 just replaced a few files and probably the same files as .670.

The new engine changes might sink that idea though, but it can't hurt to give it a shot.
