Questions

Hi, first off I'd liked to say one thing. Great mod you guys did an amazing job on this.  Now for my questions.

1. Im an an archer freak. That's basically all I use. So whats the best bow.

2. I chose Villianese. So I was wondering how many of there archers I should have in my army. Also should I add a little cavalry and infantry with it or just infantry?

3. I was thinking of attacking the Nords first and taking there kingdom, but then what kingdom should I attack next? Also should I not attack the Nords and go for a different kingdom first?

4. What is the Legion's weakness?

With a name like that, I'd never have guessed that you are an archer...

1. I'm not sure that any new ones have been added above what's available in Native. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong though.

2. That's general preference. Read up on strengths/weaknesses of the Villianese, and treat that as you would any other faction when deciding what to use.

3. Depends whether you're after a hard battle or an easy one, and whether you want a fragmented empire or not (e.g. castles at opposite ends of the map) I'd say that the Khergits and Swadians would probably be the harder opponents. Not sure whether Vaegirs or Rhodoks would be easiest.

4. The legion is basically a bigger, badder Nord-type army - i.e. mostly foot soldiers (not all - they do have cavalry/mounted archers,) and plenty of thrown weapons. Limited cavalry is what I would say their weakness is.

1. Same as native
2. You want to go for all sharpshooters, and a lot of them. I typically have 70-100 when I am just going around killing lords. 120+ is best for besieging castles. NO cavalry from the vilianese. ALMOST no infantry. You want to get all of your cavalry and infantry from other factions UNTIL you get nobles. Then you should have all nobles/faith troops and a ton of sharpshooters.
3. I went after the nords first because they have bad archers (huge plus for besieging) and they just happened to have a castle with 20 units and 200 prisoners. Then I went after the Rhodoks. I would suggest nords first. Just hold your units outside the castle, let your sharpshooters shoot them, and then storm in.
4. They have barely any archers. Sieges are not very hard. Okay cavalry and very good infantry, but your nobles and faith troops will easily kill them.

Im currently playing villanese and had quite a hard time against the vaegiers, as they have superhuman marksman and heavy cavalry, but against the nords you should have a gently walk.  For the regular army i have about 40 cavalry, mercsman mostly, some freed vaegiers and swadian knights plus an increasing number of champions of the old gods, which are basicly improved vaegier knights, deadly  effective on foot and on horse. The rest of the army consists of 80+ archers. The usual tactic against the nords would be the following: Line up the archers, the longer the line the better, as you have more angles, the cavalry follows you and move along the flank of the nords, most likely you will initially draw them away from the archers and they expose their backs to your deadly volleys. Once they break charge in and finish them off. As you said you are an archer yourself, feel free to go in solo, slow their advance as much as possible, if they get too close to your archers, hold your fire and step back a few paces, then reopen fire. In sieges take along some heavy infantry, get some hired blades, or freed prisonsers as cannon fodder to charge in, but as the nords have very little archery skills you can pick of 40+ kills with your bow solo anyways. Another special ops tactic for sieges is to go in with a small elite force, your companions plus the best troops you can field, about 30% or even less of the defenders, then go to a distant spot in the map, to avoid their fire, some of them will come out to charge you, and you can kill em off in small groups or even one by one.
