Questions on owning land (with wiki reference)

"the player receives a rent of '(prosperity - 50) + 100)' denars for every acre he owns"
1)What are actual prosperity number values? I.e low = X High = Y

!If a surplus of land exists, every acre above the required amount causes a penality of -1, which is applied to the overall rent of all acres Should the surplus be larger than 15 acres, the acres outside of the 15 surplus range are not rented anymore and the player still has to pay upkeep for them (50 denars each)."
2) Does this apply to land NOT owned by the player? I.e Praven has 20,000 pop (100 acres land needed) but there is 120 acres for sale. If I buy 100 acres will those 20 count to wards surplus?

3)The maximum penalty on land then is 15? So using the previous Praven example of a hundred acres, if I bought all of them would I receive RENT-15 and the other 5 acres surplus would be ignored? (although I would still pay upkeep).

The rents are based on the population (the maximum population is 30000)
4)Is there any way to edit the max population, just to increase maximum/minimum values by a percentage. It's personal preference that I'd rather have all my land in once place.

Thanks.

Thanks, although edit as in max population is say 100,000 rather than being limited to 30,000.

Although if population is a 'made up number' by the Floris team based on prosperity that would mean editing the actual acres of land available rather than population. Thanks, I didn't think of that.

=> 1 Prosperity is the minimum, 100 is the max.

=> No, they won't.

=> You'll still win money from the lands, but you'll have to pay (20-15)x50 denars for upkeep which is 250 denars.

The rents are based on the population (the maximum population is 30000)
4)Is there any way to edit the max population, just to increase maximum/minimum values by a percentage. It's personal preference that I'd rather have all my land in once place.

=> Try editing the source code itself, but I don't think it'll work... Caba'Drin could say more, of course.

Thanks.

1) The actual prosperity values are the following:
Towns
0-10: The poverty of the town is unbearable
10-20: The squalorous town is all but deserted.
20-30: The town looks a wretched, desolate place.
30-40: The town looks poor and neglected.
40-50: The town appears to be struggling.
50-60: The town seems unremarkable.
60-70: The town seems to be flourishing.
70-80: The prosperous town is bustling with activity.
80-90: The town looks rich and well-maintained.
90-100: The town is opulent and crowded with well-to-do people.
100: The glittering town openly flaunts its great wealth.

Villages
0-10: The poverty of the village of {s60} is unbearable.
10-20: The village of {s60} looks wretchedly poor and miserable.
20-30: The village looks very poor and desolate.
30-40: The village looks poor and neglected.
40-50: The village appears to be somewhat poor and struggling.
50-60: The village seems unremarkable.
60-70: The village seems to be flourishing.
70-80: The village appears to be thriving.
80-90: The village looks rich and well-maintained.
90-100: The village looks very rich and prosperous.
100: The village, surrounded by vast, fertile fields, looks immensely rich.

If I remember right, you can get the exact value if you enable Cheat & Debug mode.

2) It doesn't apply to land not owned by the player, but if there is a surplus in the town it is very likely that the population/ prosperity is decreasing and that the land the player owns can be affected as well (e.g., if the town is besieged).

3) Yes, but if the surplus is higher, you have to pay upkeep (e.g., you have a surplus of 30, your rent is reduced by 15, 15 acres receive no rent and you have to pay an upkeep of 15*50)

4) If you like to change the settings of landowning you should check the modwiki. You'll have to change the code.
You should ask Duh instead of Caba'Drin
