Questions on Books

What is the most you can read in a book during an individual camping?  I've so far seen 2-4%. 
How much time must elapse between readings?
Finally do books stack?  I have a book that currently gives me a +1 to first aid I think (Its a medical book), if I get another one will the two books stack?

A small gripe but I wish there was a timer for how long to read than multiple acts of clicking.

I think it depends on the book as the only book I read in Warband was going up in intervals of 7%.

I think it takes about a day or so for your character to fully 'digest' the information before you can read again, I could be wrong here.

As far as I know, after you get a book then it will no longer be available for purchase so you would not be able to buy the same book twice in order to stack. I could be wrong here but I highly doubt it.

Nah, once you select a book to read it will be read (and thus the % advance) over time. You don't have to choose to read it each time you camp. Resting without doing anything or camping will advance the % quicker, however even if you're simply wandering between towns it will rise slowly.
