Question: Shield and lance to two handed lance

Dear forum members,

I have recently started playing and already spent all of my free time playing it.
The issue i have is that i use a shield and lance, but can't find a way to use my lance in two handed mode and put away my shield.
I did once somehow find myself in a situation where i could and had way more possibilities into wacking poor low-armored swats off enemies into submission.

I hope to find a quick answer,

You probably mean you want to swing with it, instead of thrusting? If yes, then there are two things you have to keep in mind.
1. You can't swing with every polearm. It must have "Swing Damage" listed in its stats.
2. You have to put away shield and press X to change weapon mode (you're probably aware of this one).

You can take off a shield by scrolling down the middle mouse button. Scroll up to change weapons.

Thank you very much! That was the part i didn't know, I couldn't find how to unequip my shield.
This is now resolved.
