Okay, so a question for you guys...

I've been playing quite a bit and was a vassal of Vlandia until I got sick of being ****ed over by my liege (he was taking fiefs even when it was voted that I should have them). So I left the kingdom and decided to go my own way again. Worked my way to clan tier 3 but I see no option for making my own kingdom despite having fiefs and over 100 men.

Can you only create your own kingdom from the dragon banner quest? If so then I've missed my chance as I presented the banner to Vlandia previously.

Try raiding a town and then you should be able to besiege a town/castle with the faction you declared war on - taking the territory for yourself.

I'm told that you had to do main quest find 10 lord, you can't be vassal, you must had imperial settlement at least, and clan 3 level as well, I hadn't go that far, but I wonder it's too late for you and had to start new game because you said you already vassal and already gave that quest item dragon banner?
Don't take my word, because I hadn't done all those, but that's what other people said about it when create your factions.

How did you leave the faction? By talking to your King and asking for release of your oath? Because I think there's an option in the Kingdom menu to leave your kingdom that asks whether you want to keep your holdings.

I can take territory for myself, and have some but it's like I'm still just an independent clan rather than a kingdom. I.e. the kingdom button is greyed out.

That's how I did it so that I had some starting ground to work from but like I said above, it's as though I'm just an independent clan as the kingdom button at the bottom is greyed out.

I was under the impression that Kingdom management wasn't even in the game yet, or that if it was then it was barely so.

Haven't played too far past year one because the Snowball issue.

Just went on the Encyclopedia section in-game and I'm not listed as one of the kingdoms so I'm definitely still just an independent clan. I have a feeling that you need to create your kingdom through that quest line but because I chose a different route at the time it's too late for me hmmm.

Even if you create your kingdom through the quest, you won't be listed as a kingdom in the encyclopedia. Your character will be called "ruler of X" when you go to your character's page, though.

And you'll get the kingdoms tab active again, and can do laws and stuff. But I expect it'll feel more bare bones than being part of an existing kingdom for now.

I see. Luckily I have a save before I left Vlandia so may need to revert back to that and go for a usurp instead then haha!

There is a way to declare yourself a kingdom with the developer console mode. I've done it and it's a blast being my own kingdom. You can also convince other vassals from other kingdoms to join your kingdom, bringing with them their territories.

Oh? Where can I find out how to use the dev console mode?

Can you share both the developer console method and exactly how you convince vassals to join you? That sounds fun.

Convincing them to join is as simple as telling them you have something to discuss with em. It's just as broken as marriage, so don't expect Charm to help you yet xD it's literal luck.

Not true. There's percentages on each of the options in the conversation. It does in fact fail sometimes. I've failed to convince 3 lords to join me because of bad percentages. Charm does in fact play a huge role in the percentages going higher for convincing them.

As someone else stated, "
The Developer Consoles is a mod on the nexus. The command is one of the campaign.* commands, I believe something like campaign.create_player_kingdom or something along those lines, it autofills.

Dev Console: https://www.nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/4 "

Also, you have make sure you have at least a -10 relationship with whichever lord you are trying to convince. You start the conversation, you say you have some things you'd like to discuss. Then click the option that says "What are your thoughts about your liege lord?" and go from there. It requires a certain charm rank though to be able to convince them effectively.

Anyone tried the make yourself leader of your faction command? Does it work? Thought I also say a election command.
