I have heard many definitions of evil, the most practical I've seen is the superficial semantic; evil is the reverse of what it is to live. What definition do you all see? (I'm actually being serious this time, how do you all define evil?)

I like Anton LaVey's definition personally:
Good is what you like. Evil is what you don't like.

I should clarify, otherwise this will be a thread of people stating that it is a subjective matter (not debating that,) I mean to ask, what in your personal perspective makes you think; "Wow, that is ****ing evil..." (generals, not specifics.) What personal rules do you go by?

Magorian Aximand 说:
So you want us to define our morals, rather than the word?

Assuming that was sarcasm... Yeah... Call it curiosity about human nature.

In short, moral fiber - Treat others how you want to be treated.
Basing it around those morals evil would be to bring harm to others on purpose without regret.

Evil is the mindless impulse to destroy. I do not view merely harming others to be evil, for there are sometimes valid reasons for doing so.
