Question for sp players

I am one of those people who wait with playing the sp until its fully finished. I am quite actively playing the multiplayer though. There you have access to very high tier weapons and armor right from the start. I remember it was a huge part of excitement in warband to finally be able to see your character in expensive armor. It was some kind of "extra achievement".

So my question is, will this excitement about new expensive armor be ruined now, because I already saw them all on my character in multiplayer or are there many completely different, new, expensive clothings so it wont matter?

You can only get them from taking gear from your spouse.
You can get you spouse killed and get a new one for more gear.
This is the closest to an answer I can give you but I think you'll be disappointed in the getting gear aspect of single player.

Sadly... Acquiring gear in Bannerlord's campaign is not that thrilling as of now. But, since things will undoubtedly Soon change, and you're waiting for full release anyway... You might be happy with what you find there... When it gets there.

Actively sitting out MP for just those kinds of reasons. Sitting out the whole affair really till SP is a somewhat complete, enjoyable mechanism

It would go something like this... right now. You would have a hard time even finding those same armors from mp. Hopefully this is something that improves as we go.

There's a mod that unlocks it so it can appear in cities to buy. I'm not using it on my latest play through however as Smithing currently gives you unlimited money so you can just buy all the best stuff in the game really early.

Perhaps once they fix smithing they can add armour to vendors. Perhaps they could even have a trade perk that unlocks Top tier items.

Until then its basically about getting your wifes killed although I think they may have nerfed some of their gear also. My profit off Corien and Ira was a Noble Long Bow and the 75 def horse armour. Got a decent helm and chest off Arwa but nothing special. She might find herself in the frontlines soon....

I don't want to be dependand on mods to be able to enjoy the game.

That perk thing is actually a really great idea! It could be somewhat like in skyrim, where you have to progress in smithing to be able to get better armor. That makes the armor more difficult to access (you dont just need money and actually have to grind some levels) and makes it feel like a reward!

Yeah, perhaps there could be perks in different trees to add some Choice. Some ideas:

Trade - Vendors stock high level items
Roguery - Can Steal Higher Tier Items from Nobles
Leadership - Can win High Tier items from Tournaments
Tactics - Can Loot Higher Tier Items from Battles
Smithing - This is due to be reworked so perhaps could include armour eventually

If the Perks are 100+ then it will mean that you will have to play through the early game and develop one of these skills before you can access higher tier armours
