Question for all you British bastards...

Yep. A conversation with my friend who hails from Notts.

Friend: I'm telling you, it's not that dangerous!
Me: Oh really?
Friend: Yeah, I've only walked past 5 murder scenes.

Anywhere outside London is evil chav-infested countryside. It's worse than Racoon City. Rows and rows of council estates. You can't survive without a shotgun, or you'd be swarmed and ripped apart within minutes.

There is Dryvus, but don't go to Nottingham. Its a **** hole. Crime center of the country.

errmmm Grantham?
Nottingham is only a **** hole in the outskirts like every city

I used to go cottaging a lot with my dad, it's really fun. You find out a lot about the buildings, and it brings you closer to what it's like being British.

Up shut, Russian.

Its true, London and Edinburgh, the only two places I've lived, are the only civil places in the UK.

COINCIDENCE?!?! YOU DECIDE.

I've visited London... graffiti and hobos everywhere! Edinburgh Ive only driven through looks OK though

Because they spend more for football and they play with quick tempo. That makes the football matches exciting.

Nottingham is a **** hole, hence, "Shottingham".

My favourite places in this wonderfully dieing country....

Cornwall, Dartmoor and Exmoor - fantastic scenery and great places for walking.
Oxford - just because
London obviously
and then there's not much worth seeing between there and Yorkshire  Some more nice walking in Yorkshire, York as people have mentioned (yorvik is awesome, but always has long queues  ) Hadrian's wall definitely worth a couple of days. Also the Lake District there as well. If you're into walking, get some Wainwright books.

Can't say much on Scotland as have never been there. I've been to the south of Wales, but i wouldn't recommend it solely because it's full of welsh people.

Alex_Augmented 说:
No; why do you hate Britain.

Because their style of playing football is better than ours...

Wait, who i am kidding?... England seems a bit of imperialist to me. This is why i hate England

*snrk*
Y'think that's bad? See what us Canadians have to deal with from the Americans? They're the most ImperialistTM out there!
Just be happy you don`t need to live beside them.

As Trudeau said, living beside the Americans is like living beside an elephant. You'll always be affected.

I admire your complete lack of imagination.

I give a hearty nod to York, Snowdonia, the Lake District, and the Highlands. Stop off at Inverness. It's sexy. I'd avoid London like the bleeding plague if I were you. It's just one big, gilded gutter.

If you've got any kiddies with you, I'd say go to Alton Towers. The only decent theme park in the country.

I hate Britain, especially England. But their football is sensational.

Don't worry. We hate you too you dirty ****ing foreign type. But don't worry. Soon we shall reclaim the glory of our mighty empire when our invading gene kicks into play again. And you shall be the first slave on the new giant tea plantation we plan to replace your so called "country" with. The rest will be employed in the mighty hobnob forges in our offworld colonies.

But stiff upper lip old chap! You'll have a flag at least!

Even the kids are pikiees. In my primary school we went on a school trip to Derbyshire and there was a group of kids our age on a school trip staying in the same youth hostel. The ****s were from Nottingham and we ended up fighting at night when we went down the corridor "going to the toilets."
Anyway, if you like walking try the grampians (middle part of scotland), if you like sailing you could try a good spot on Scotlands west coast (assuming you're used to rough conditions) or you could go kayaking there if you're immensely awesome at it.
If you like farming and hate hills or mountains or any sort of bumpy terrain come to Norfolk where we have nothing interesting except marshes and woodland.
Edit:
Oooh hobnob forges. I think the invading genes are hungry for one of those. Must have hobnob forge.
Oh and someone said Yorvic is good, its not. It's alright if you're in york with nothing to do but otherwise there is a whisky shop close by the Yorvic center which is worth much more attention.

I agree with that. The Jorvik centre is overrated. The town itself, however, isn't. Just don't stay too long, as there isn't a great deal to be done.

I'd say come to Manchester.. but unless you're into busking, chunky northern girls, gay clubs, and petty gangsters.. don't.

i would recommend heading past sheffield and the rotherham area lots of nature and sites to be seen around there, i live in sheffield and have a few photos on my blog of some of the places ive visited if you want a link jus PM me

Right. First, you land in Britland, then you get back on the plane, take off, and cross the North Sea. Much better.
