Question: Adding new areas to the main map on version 1.2.11?

Hello, I need help with the steam modding tool. I'm interested in step-by-step instructions for creating new navmeshes for the map, where the character can move and where settlements can be placed. Specifically, I'm interested in editing inaccessible areas of the vanilla map - in the south. The version of the game and the modding tool is 1.2.11. I tried to just add navmeshes, without settlements, it crashes the game.

This is an error when trying to load a map from a custom mod even though I haven't made any changes to the map

I found the source of the issue: settlements_distance_cache.bin
For some reason SettlementPositionScripts clears its memory, instead of updating the distance cache.
