Question about your brother

When he initially splits up from you at the end of the tutorial he sends you on your quest and says he'll find you again when he needs to. Does anyone know when this is, or if it is even in the game yet?

I've completed the banner and given it to my leader and have put a good 30 hours into this playthrough so far and I haven't heard anything from him. On a whim I looked him up in the encyclopedia a couple times and saw he was at Chaikand, so finally I decided to go look for him myself. I made it to Chaikand, but he doesn't show up as an important person nor at the tavern, keep, or even dungeon. I even walked the streets looking for him but couldn't find him. I waited at the town for a day and a half and didn't see a party of him around anywhere, and when I checked the encyclopedia again it said he had been seen at Chaikand again today, so I checked the town again but still no sign of him.

TLDR; Does your brother ever come back to find you after the tutorial?

Yeah its weird how you start out on a search for your family who was kidnapped in some tavern a few days ago, but in order to do that you go to talk to every King of the known world about some battle and then get derailed trying to reuinite/destroy the empire.
Now M&B has never been famous for storytelling but this just doesn't make a lick of sense.

the game in a sense is great, the functions whats meant to be is grand. the story telling way its been made x main quest line.. i am questioning their IQ on that point rest is grand and great. But MQ is just... no comment
